Gent reportedly splashed three Million Euros to sign striker Gift Emmanuel Orban, who only started pro football in Europe last August.
The Nigerian striker is 20 years old and comes over from the Norwegian club Stabæk.
At Stabæk, Gift scored 19 goals in 24 games last season.
He scored 16 times in the league and 3 times in the cup tournament. Partly thanks to his goals, Stabæk have been promoted to the Norwegian top division.
Gent chief scout Samuel Cardenas said they are delighted to sign the promising goal getter.
“We are delighted to welcome a promising talent,” saidCardenas.
“We were able to bring him to our club after tough negotiations. Gift is a flexible forward who caught our attention during his debut season in Norway.
“He has a real eye for goals and combines his torment instinct with good bipedal technique.
“We look forward to seeing him develop here. He will have the necessary patience and time to adapt to our competition.”
