Belgian club KAA Gent will be smiling to the bank for the second time this year should Gift Orban be offloaded by Lyon this summer.
Gent bought Gift Orban for Three Million Euros from the Norwegian second division and have since made a tidy profit of about 10 Million Euros when they sold him in January for 13 Million Euros.
Their agreement with Lyon is that they will also get additional cash – 20% – from his subsequent transfer from Lyon.
The striker did not hit it off in Ligue 1 this past season and Lyon will be happy to let him go before his contract is up in 2028.
Another Ligue 1 club Brest, who will feature in the UEFA Champions League in the new season, are the latest club to be linked to Gift Orban.
