Victor Boniface today underwent a successful surgery for a groin injury in Berlin, his Bundesliga club announced.

Bayer Leverkusen announced this on X.
They added that Boniface will return to Berlin later this week to begin his rehabilitation.
The injury ruled the 23-year-old striker from the 2023 AFCON, which begins in Abidjan Saturday.
He has since been replaced by OGC Nice striker Terem Moffi.
He is now expected to be sidelined till April 2024.
