The Super Eagles, who will most likely be one of the top seeds going by their FIFA Ranking, will on Wednesday, July 12, in Cotonou, Benin Republic, know the five teams who will stand in their way to qualify for the 2026 FIFA to be staged by Canada, Mexico and USA.
CAF announced the draw date today after their executive committee meeting in Algiers Thursday.
CAF said the 54 member-nations will be divided into nine groups of six teams with the overall group winners advancing automatically to the global finals.
The four best second-placed teams will then feature in a CAF playoffs with the overall winners involved in a FIFA playoffs for an additional ticket.
