Ferencvaros coach has said he felt sorry for Bamidele Yusuf, who was sent off when the Hungarian giants recorded a famous 2-0 victory at AC Milan in the UEFA Europa League.
Yusuf, who has been brilliant for Ferencvaros, was shown a straight for elbowing an opponent in the 76th minute.
– I didn’t see the incident afterwards. I feel sorry for Yusuf, because he’s a good guy, he probably didn’t want to weaken his team, the mistake is his, it happens,” said coach Balzs Borbely.
” I think our reaction was perfect, everyone knew that there were 15 minutes left, we had to defend, sacrifice ourselves, fight for each other. The last 15-20 minutes went as they should have.”
Bamidele Yusuf will thus miss the Europa League tie at home against Celje on November 26.
Ferencvaros are placed third in the overall Europa League standings after four rounds of matches having won all their group phase games.
