Coach Eric Chelle has made a wholesale change to the starting XI against Uganda for today’s final 2025 AFCON Group C clash in Fes with Victor Osimhen captain on the day.
Only Osimhen, who is the deputy captain of the team and celebrated his 27th birthday Monday, Bruno Onyemaechi and Calvin Bassey survived the purge from the team who started against Tunisia at the weekend.
Francis Uzoho will start in goal instead of Stanley Nwabali and there is a debut for Blackburn Rovers right fullback Ryan Alebiosu.
There are first starts for Igho Ogbu, Raphael Onyedika, Moses Simon, Paul Onuachu and Fisayo Dele Bashiru.
Nwabali, Semi Ajayi and Ademola Lookman, who are on a booking each, have not been risked for this tie.
Super Eagles Starting XI vs Uganda: Uzoho – Onyelaechi, Alebiosu, Ogbu, Bassey – Onyedika, Dele Bashiru, Chukwueze, Moses Simon – Osimhen (Captain), Onuachu
