The Super Eagles striker came off the bench to fire the all-important goal courtesy of an audacious solo move that tore wide open the Elche defense.
Former Mexico coach Aguirre failed to win in his first three matches since he took over troubled Valencia.
It was also a fitting comeback for Sadiq, who has been sidelined for two months by injury.
He celebrated his second La Liga goal of the season with the dance steps of Michael Jackson ‘Thriller’.
Valencia remain second bottom of the La Liga standings with nine points from 11 matches.
