It has so far been an entertaining first half between the Flamingos of Nigeria and their Brazilian counterparts with no goals to show.
In the first World Cup semifinal, Japan dethroned North Korea after they stopped them 4-1 on penalties after both teams played out a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
In this later semifinal kick-off, Brazil were first on the front foot from the onset, pinning the Flamingos to their own half of the pitch.
However, the Nigerian girls gradually got into the game and began to threaten the opposing goal with wave after wave of attacks.
Queen Joseph came face-to-face with the Brazilian goalkeeper, who did well to come off her line and deny Nigeria from point-blank range.
Brazil only threatened late in the half with an effort crashing against the side netting.
Nigeria had two shots on target from as many as 11 attempts, while the Samba Girls hardly troubled goalkeeper Jane Ijirigho.
