Napoli fans are very much in love of Victor Osimhen that they now buy his jersey as well as the face mask he wears since a cheekbone injury that needed surgery.
Gazzetta dello Sport reported the fans are so in love with their star that they even queue to buy replicas of the protective mask he’s been wearing for more than a year following a cheekbone injury suffered against Inter Milan in November 2021.
Replicas of Osimhen’s mask are on sale in the stalls outside the stadium and hundreds of fans were seen queueing to buy the gadget on Sunday, before their game with Cremonese.
The newspaper described Osimhen as the ‘king of Naples’ with the fans dreaming of winning their first title in over 30 years.
Osimhen has scored 17 goals in 18 appearances in Serie A thus far and Napoli are 16 points clear at the top of the standings.
