Three Flying Eagles stars namely skipper Daniel Bameyi and goalkeepers Nathaniel Nwosu and Chijioke Aniagboso resumed training with the Nigeria U23s today in Abuja ahead of Wednesday’s final playoff against Guinea.
Bameyi and Nwosu featured for the U23s to eliminate Tanzania in the previous round of the qualifiers.
Both Bameyi and Aniagboso have also been called up by the Super Eagles for a 2023 AFCON qualifier against Guinea Bissau later this month.
Nwosu lost his Flying Eagles No 1 jersey to Aniagboso at the rcent U20 AFCON in Egypt.
Officials had told SCORENigeria that they expect as many as 15 foreign pros for the Guinea clash.
But it seems only a handful of these pros will be available on Wednesday.
The match is slated for the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja by 4pm.
