It has been revealed that striker David Okereke was only calmed down by his agent after he was moved to play as a left winger by Club Brugge in the new season.
Last season, Okereke cost the Belgian champions a record eight million Euros and scored nine goals in the league even though a lot more was expected of him.
Coach Philippe Clement has now moved Okereke to the left wing, which the striker did not particularly like.
It needed his agent, Patrick Bastenelli, to douse the tension between the team and the player.
Het Laatste Nieuws reported that Okereke called the agent.
“Why are you angry?”, the agent asked the striker.
“Two years ago you were still in Serie B, now you are in the Champions League.”
