Champions Club Brugge will no longer sign Noah Adedeji from fellow Belgian team Genk.
Club Brugge agreed personal terms with winger Adedeji, but could not meet the valuation of Genk on the player.
Voetbalkrant reported that Club Brugge did not wish to go beyond their financial limits on the player.
They have since signed Jan Virgili on the left wing instead and also have Mamadou Diakhon as an option.
Adedeji was booed by his own club fans in a recent pre-season friendly and at a time was ordered to train apart from the first-team squad at the height of the transfer saga.
