Dependable stopper William Ekong first asserted himself in the Italian Serie A by featuring in 30 matches in the 2019/2020 season as Udinese again stayed up in the Italian top league.
Last summer, he made the switch to the English Championship with Udinese sister club Watford.
He has thus far made 12 appearances and scored a goal as Watford aim for a prompt return to the Premier League after relegation the previous season on the final day action.
He was nominated for the Watford Player of the Month Award for December.
The Championship is most certainly a step up from his humble beginnings in Norway and Turkey.
The 27-year-old central defender was again solid in the heart of the defence for the Super Eagles, featuring in all four games by the national team in the year under review.
Ekong will play a big role as Nigeria eye qualification for both the 2021 AFCON and the 2022 World Cup in a very busy calendar year.
