Today Enyimba will hope to overturn a 3-0 deficit they suffered at Al Merreikh of Sudan so as to reach the group stage of the CAF Champions League where they are guaranteed a minimum of $550,000 (253 million Naira).
However, two-time African champions have failed to achieve such a feat with their biggest comeback being in 2002 when they lost 4-1 at ASEC Mimosas of Cote d’Ivoire and won the return leg 3-1.
In the meantime, Enyimba skipper Austin Oladapo has been ruled out of today’s clash by an ankle injury.
The draw for both the Champions League and Confederation Cup will be staged on Friday.
