David Okereke gave an apt reply to critics who have tagged him an expensive flop when he scored twice for Club Brugge to thump KV Mechelen 6-0 in a pre-season friendly today.
Okereke, who cost Club Brugge eight million Euros last season from Italian club Spezia, appears to have rediscovered the form that got the whole of Belgium talking early last campaign.
Impressed fans praised Okereke with many of them predicting that he will get double digits in the new season.
The 22-year-old striker finished top scorer for Club Brugge last season after his eight million Euros transfer, but it’s no secret that the Belgian champions are scouring the transfer market for another striker.
