These are certainly not the best of times for coach Eric Chelle and this could get even worse going into next month when both the Super Eagles and the Olympic team will be engaged in crucial qualifiers.
Eric Chelle is head coach of both the Super Eagles and the U23s.
SCORENigeria can now report that following the 3-0 disgrace they suffered in Guinea Bissau, the Super Eagles must now win their next two 2027 AFCON qualifiers home and away to Tanzania to get their campaign back on track.
Nigeria will welcome the Taifa Stars to Uyo on November 11 with the return leg four days later in Tanzania.
It is also the same time that the U23s will face either Mauritania or DR Congo in an U23 AFCON qualifier (Mauritania won the first leg 1-0, while the return leg is slated for DRC Tuesday).
Nigeria U23s will be away in the first leg on November 9 with the return leg eight days later.
“It was not such a great idea to have appointed Eric Chelle to also be in charge of the U23s,” a source told SCORENigeria
“Now tell me how he will handle both these two very important qualifiers.
“Will he have to divide himself into two to deliver on both qualifying campaigns?”

Wat are u saying . Why cant he handle both assgnment concurrently. Now he has large pool to choose from base on exceptional performance . This will assist him to choose players for each game base on form . So pls dont create problem that is not there for the coach.
