Young Nigerian striker David Illah is hitting new heights in Canada armed with a burning ambition to play for the Super Eagles.
The 20-year-old striker, who hails from Kogi State, was the leading scorer for Astra Academy with 13 goals in 17 games in the recent indoor season in Canada.
A winger or striker, Illah has now committed his future to the football programme of the University of Saskatchewan for the 2026/2027 season.
“I am doing well in Canada and I’m confident I will score more goals in the new season,” he said.
“Even though I now live in Canada, my lifelong dream is still to play for the Super Eagles.”
Scouting reports said he is a powerful and proven goal scorer with a bright future.
