CAF head of safety and security, Christian Emeruwa, has told SCORENigeria he is not interested in the vacant position of the NFF general secretary.
“I am not interested in the position of the general secretary,” he told SCORENigeria from his base in Cairo, Egypt.
“Four years ago, I rejected this post in the media.
“I said then that it was the presidency (of the NFF) or nothing.”
He would not comment on whether he will give the NFF presidency another shot when asked.
SCORENigeria reported that Emeruwa has been nominated for the NFF general secretary by a former NFF president as the Nigerian football reform directed by President Bola Tinbu begins to take shape.
He was also linked with heading the NPFL following the departure of Gbenga Elegbeleye.
Emeruwa is on secondment from the NFF.
