Former Nigeria U23 striker Promise David, who opted for Canada to play at the 2026 World Cup, is closing in on a transfer to Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart.
VfB Stuttgart are very interested in Promise David and have reportedly submitted a first bid of approximately €14 million for the striker.
According to Andre Oechsner, David is the alternative to Dzenan Pejcinovic for Stuttgart.
A personal agreement with the player is also said to be near, as David has reportedly reached an agreement with Stuttgart on the main terms of a multi-year contract with a net annual salary of around €3 million. Union SG cannot pay such wages.
The clubs still need to reach an agreement on the final transfer fee, and Union SG will not accept this offer.
