SCORENigeria has been told that former Super Eagles forward Daniel Amokachi has “a good chance” of been named the coach of the Nigeria U23s again, but he has to work on his attitude as it concerns both players and officials.
‘The Bull’ Amokachi and Samson Siasia are among the coaches who have applied for the U23 post, as first reported by SCORENigeria
A top source has now informed SCORENigeria that Amokachi is expected to mend fences with the NFF leadership after he sensationally rejected the chance to assist Finidi George in June 2024.
He refused the appointment because it was on a “pay-as-you-work” basis, which a former teammate of his described as “demeaning”.
It was also gathered that he has to tone down his “high handedness” when he relates to the players.
Early last year, Amokachi quit his position as coach of Lobi Stars after a poor run of results.
