Jose Peseiro has now been linked with taking over Algeria after his contract as Super Eagles coach ended with the 2023 AFCON.
Various reports out of Algeria have suggested the 63-year-old Portuguese coach is now under serious consideration to lead the country’s team.
Fellow Portuguese Carlos Querioz has also been associated with the top post in Algeria.
The future of Djamel Belmadi, who led Algeria to win the 2019 AFCON, remains uncertain after they flopped for the second straight AFCON.
Peseiro has previously been linked with top Egyptian club Zamalek.
