Central defender Ekong was not only the pillar in the meanest defence at the AFCON, he also fired three goals.
Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman also netted three goals for his best outing for the Super Eagles, while Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina caught the eye at right back for Nigeria.
Goalkeeper of the Tournament Ronwen Williams of South Africa also made the AFCON Dream Team, so also three players from champions and hosts Cote d’Ivoire – Franck Kessie, Jean Michael Seri and Konan.
