Victor Osimhen will most likely miss Napoli opening match of the new Serie A season at newly promoted Frosinone on August 19 after he suffered an ankle injury in training.
Osimhen was forced out of the training after he received a big blow on his right ankle after colliding with Napoli new signing Nathan.
The 24-year-old striker was in pain as he left the pitch to apply an ice pack on his foot and initial reports suggested he sprained his ankle.
Last season, Osimhen was one of the stars who helped Napoli win their first Scudetto since 1990.
He scored 26 goals to finish as the top scorer in Serie A.
He has been linked with a major transfer in this summer window, but could soon extend his contract with Napoli.
