The Flamingos of Nigeria consolidated their leadership of the WAFU B U17 Girls Cup after they defeated hosts Cote d’Ivoire 2-0.
They now have a perfect 12 points from four matches after their fourth win of the competition.
Cote d’Ivoire remain on six points.
Oluwakemi Adebuyi opened scoring for Nigeria after just four minutes Thursday against the Ivorians, before Pattra Oparamegwa sealed victory for the Flamingos seven minutes from full time.
The WAFU tourney has been a good build-up for the Flamingos ahead of the U17 World Cup in Morocco later this year.
