Peter Utaka is not slowing down any time soon after he fired four goals for Kyoto Sanga to win 4-3 at Montedio Yamagata in the 10-week-old Japan 2 Professional League.
‘Manpo’ is the leading scorer of the league with nine goals in 10 games.
The former Westerlo hitman evened things for his side in the 31st minute and put his side ahead six minutes later.
He put the game beyond their hosts three minutes from time to claim victory and up his tally to nine goals.
This win shot his side to fourth place on the table.
‘Manpo’ had earlier emerged top scorer in the Japanese top flight and could be achieving same in the lower league.
He could be on his way to achieve a milestone in the second-tier football having emerged top scorer in the Belgian second division in the 2007/2008 season.
At 36, he’s spending his eighth season in Japan having switched from China, where he was top scorer in the Chinese FA Cup for Beijing Gouan.
