Flying Eagles players who protested the non-payment of their bonus and allowances at the 2019 U20 World Cup in Poland have now sought divine help as they head back to Nigeria tonight.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have failed to pay them about $5,000-a-man as promised them and which forced them to skip their flight back home Tuesday.

“We know that we will not be paid by the NFF on our return home even after they asked for our bank details,” one of the players told SCORENigeria

“Can you imagine that those players who were dropped in Germany were only given $100 each to take home.

“And our case is not going to be different, but we will leave everything to God. The almighty will fight our battles.”

Another player painted a picture of intimidation and harassment against them by officials in Poland.

“They threatened us, saying we should play for our careers and our families, that money should not distract us,” he revealed.

“Some of the officials even told us that if we insist on this protest, we will be blacklisted from any national team going forward.”

Italy-based Kingsley Michael as well as Tom Dele-Basiru and Nnamdi Ofoborh were the first set of players to fly out of Poland Tuesday.

The other foreign-based players will head back to their bases today.

With your over aged figures , you were still beaten by the real boys !!..You disgraced the football family in Nigeria ,therefore you shouldn’t be paid !!..We support NFF on this !!…don’t waste tax payers money on this lazy bunch , the worst flying eagles in our history !!
