Paul Onuachu has said he was disappointed even after he netted his nineteenth goal of the season because his club still lost the game.
Genk chase for the title suffered a setback at KV Kortrijk when they lost 2-1 leaving the chance for leaders Club Brugge to increase their lead at the top of the Belgian league table later today.
“If you score and lose it is not good. Then you are disappointed”, Onuachu told Radio 1.
Onuachu said his team did not do enough to win especially in the second half.
“We started the second half too weak. Everyone looked at each other and we stopped running. We played with too little energy. Kortrijk did that with good pressing”, Onuachu reported.
Coach John van den Brom was reportedly not satisfied with his team.
“What the coach said? That we should be on the ball better and play with more effort,” Onuachu disclosed.
