Chelsea defender Ola Aina, who was dropped from the Super Eagles squad to last year’s World Cup, has told SCORENigeria he believes both Kelechi Iheanacho and Semi Ajayi will bounce back after they missed the cut to the AFCON.
Aina will now be making his AFCON debut in Egypt along with 19 other debutants from the Eagles final squad.
“It was unfortunate because they deserve to be on the squad as much as anyone else, but I am sure we will see them soon,” he offered.

“I spoke to both Semi (Ajayi) and Kele (Iheanacho), told them to keep their heads up, have a nice break and recharge for next season because there is so much more to come.
“This (2019 AFCON) is just one thing, there’s so much more to come.”
It was a personal triumph for Ola Aina to make the cut after he did not do so for Russia 2018.
“I am happy, I am happy, that’s all I can say,” he told SCORENigeria trying to contain his excitement.
“It’s long time coming.”
