Newly-promoted Nottingham Forest have now made an opening bid worth at least 20 Million pounds for Emmanuel Dennis, which will make him the club’s record signing ahead of compatriot Taiwo Awoniyi.
Awoniyi is currently Forest most expensive purchase after they forked out 17.5 Million Pounds to Bundesliga club Union Berlin this summer.
Today it has emerged that they have put in a formal bid for Watford winger Dennis, who still has four years left on his contract with the English Championship side.
Various reports suggest Forest plan to complete this transfer before the transfer window in England closes on September 1.
Last season, 24-year-old Emmanuel Dennis scored 10 goals and provided six assists for Watford, who will eventually be relegated from the Premier League.
He only cost Watford 3.5 Million Pounds to snap him from Belgian champions Club Brugge last summer.
