Nigerian youngster Raphael ‘Marcelo’ Ayaji has arrived Sweden to undergo trials with IFK Goteborg.
‘Marcelo’, 17, is a left-back and was scouted by Olle Sultan from IFK Goteborg during a tournament in Nigeria in November.
“He is a very interesting player, he is fast, skillful and smart,” remarked Olle Sultan.
Ayaji will train with IFK Gotheborg until July 10 before he will feature at the Gothia Cup games with Tiki-Taka International FC.
Earlier this year, the Swedish side ran the rule on another left-back, Ogbu Abrahams.
He joined last winter on a loan agreement with an option for a permanent transfer this summer.
However, a knee injury forced him to leave the club after just a few weeks.
He must now have to undergo surgery.
