Real Sociedad striker Sadiq Umar has worsened the strikers’ crisis in the Super Eagles at the 2023 AFCON after he did not train with the rest of the squad Wednesday night in Abidjan and had to be attended to by the team’s medical staff.
It was gathered that he had a strapping around his leg.
SCORENigeria further gathered he suffered a knock in the AFCON warm-up against Guinea in Dubai Monday.
As it is, Victor Osimhen is the only striker in the squad without an issue.
Kelechi Iheanacho has only recovered from a muscular injury and he is only due to join the squad at the weekend.
Terem Moffi, a late replacement for the injured Victor Boniface, will only join up by Sunday when the Super Eagles will already open their AFCON campaign against Equatorial Guinea.
Both Iheanacho and Moffi will not be available for selection on Sunday.

When they had the option of 27 players, the stifnecked people said they will do with 25 so that they can reduce expenses. I hope the reality is coming getting clearer now
