The prize waiting for the Flamingoes should they avoid defeat against Chile today will be a quarterfinal between either USA or Brazil.
The decisive Group B between Nigeria and Chile will kick off by 12 noon today, while the quarterfinal will be on Friday in Mumbai.
Should it be CONCACAF champions USA, the Flamingoes will come face-to-face with Onyeka Gamero, whose father is Nigerian and has caught the eye in India.
Onyeka was named Player of the Match when she scored in the record 8-0 drubbing of hosts India, before she provided an assist in a 1-1 draw with Brazil.
Brazil, on the other hand, are the South American champions after they beat Colombia in the qualifying final.
Chile are the third ranked South American qualifiers to India.
They fell 8-0 to Brazil and 3-0 to Colombia in the qualifiers.
The Chileans may have been battered 6-0 by European champions Germany, but they can still advance to the last-eight with victory against the Flamingoes having won their opening game 3-1 against New Zealand.
