Belgium’s leading newspaper Het Laaste Nieuws has predicted Emmanuel Dennis will not leave league champions Club Brugge this transfer window.
Dennis, 22, has been linked with various clubs, from Atalanta in Serie A to Sheffield United in the Premier League.
Club Brugge have placed a price tag of between 20 and 25 million Euros on the Super Eagles ace and have said they will not block his departure.
The player himself has said he is looking forward to a fresh challenge outside Belgium even though he still has a year left on his contract.
However, Het Laaste Nieuws has said they do not expect Dennis to leave soon.
“Here and there we read that Club Brugge wants 20 million euros for Dennis. Excuse me? If Jonathan David AA Gent yields about 34 million net, Vincent Mannaert will not be satisfied with net 20 million for Emmanuel Dennis, will he?,” the newspaper reported.
“The Nigerian is still only 22. Why should Dennis want a transfer anyway? Why not stay in Bruges for two more seasons, where he finds a trainer and a management who are willing to put time and energy into his development? “
