Alhassan Yusuf has again spoken that there is a possibility he could make a transfer away from IFK Goteborg, but for the time being his focus is on helping the Swedish club stay clear of relegation.
The energetic box-to-box midfielder was again in scintillating form as IFK cruised past hosts Falkenberg 3-0 at the weekend.
The road win means Goteborg are 12th on the table with 20 points from as many matches, just two points clear of the relegation zone.
“I can be sold, but I do not want to think about whether I will be or not,” Yusuf told Fotbollskanalen.
“I just want to help the team climb the table. My priority is to do well for IFK Gothenburg and help the team. But I do not know what will happen.”
His club have appointed a new coach, Roland Nilsson, as they fight against the dreaded drop and the star midfielder said he believes he can turn things around for them.
“I know he was the captain for the U21 national team before. With his experience, I think he can contribute new things and make some changes, so that it will be good again,” he assured.
