Club Brugge won their first game of the season at KRC Genk at the weekend with top experts heaping praise on Emmanuel Dennis for getting the Belgian champions back to winning ways.
The winger, who has long been linked to a big-money transfer outside Belgium, delivered the assist for Club Brugge opening goal and in general showed class for his team to run away 2-1 winners.
Former football stars Philippe Albert and Kahlilou Fadiga said Dennis provided the spark for Club Brugge to get going again after two losses and a draw in the new season.
“Club Brugge have finally stood up against Genk. Badji did an excellent job in attack, but Dennis’ performance was particularly impressive. He was the exponent of the ‘resurrected Club Brugge'”, the analysts said.
After the international break, the champions will take on Waasland-Beveren at home.
After that, they face tough fixtures against Zulte-Waregem, Cercle Brugge, Anderlecht and Standard Liege.
