Emmanuel Ekong, the son of former Super Eagles star Prince Ikpe Ekong, has signed a new five-year contract with Serie A club Empoli.
The 20-year-old striker has now got a contract till June 2027, the Italian club announced.
Ekong has been at Empoli since 2018 and has come through the ranks to the main squad.
He is already an U20 international for Sweden, but he is still eligible to play for Nigeria.
He is one of four footballing brothers.
Super Eagles defender Tyronne Ebuehi only recently joined Empoli on a permanent basis.
