Winger Bidemi Amole showed flashes of his genius at the WAFU B U20 AFCON qualifiers in Togo last year and the expectations now are that he be a lot more consistent to impose his undoubted class on the Flying Eagles at the U20 AFCON in Egypt.
Bidemi Amole has been called up to🇳🇬U20 as recent 16yo. Quick first step, shifty dribbler and super striker of ball. Dangerous player in Sadio Mane role but with ability to float infield and distribute. Class and defo OTW. https://t.co/1DHNjBIrvihttps://t.co/R76jnn5BaL pic.twitter.com/WlzRFq2hfQ

“Bidemi is one of the special talents in this team,” a top team official told SCORENigeria
“He’s a very exciting player, very unpredictable and full of tricks.
“His undoing in Togo was that he was not consistent, but that is often the problem with young player like him.”
The stocky Flying Eagles winger from Real Sapphire of Lagos, who will wear jersey number 11 at Egypt 2025, will only be 18 in November.
This explosive winger caught the eye with his goals, assists and dribbles as debutants Sporting Lagos won the Gothia Cup in Sweden last year in super style.
In Togo, he was part of a three-man strike force that also paraded striker Kparobo Arierhi and fellow winger Clinton Jeptha.
Kparobo fired three goals, Jephta scored twice, while Bidemi failed to find the back of the net at the sub-regional tournament.
In the warm-up game against U20 AFCON hosts Egypt last week, Bidemi provided the assist for Kparobo to open scoring in a morale-boosting 2-1 victory.
It will be the same strike force that coach Aliyu Zubairu is counting on to score the goals for the Flying Eagles to annex their eighth U20 AFCON crown in Egypt.
