A Normalisation Committee to reform and reposition Nigerian football is to be announced tomorrow.
The committee to be set up with the full blessings of both FIFA and CAF is wildly expected to be headed by senior lawyer A.U Mustapha, who has been involved in Nigerian football for more than a decade.
It will have six months to restructure and reorganise Nigerian football after many years of decline.
The Normalisation Committee will be expected to redo the 2010 NFF Statutes that caused state FA chairmen to have a stranglehold on the Nigerian football polity,
As expected state FA chairmen have opposed the setting up of a Normalisation Committee, preferring instead for a caretaker committee to be headed by one of them.
It is expected to enlarge the NFF Congress and make it more inclusive.
The committee will also supervise elections into the NFF executive committee following the resignation of the Ibrahim Gusau-led board in September.
