Taiwo Alao has begun his new life in Brazil with Atletico Meneiro.
Alao has signed a three-year contract and will initially join the U20 squad for an adaptation period, having already begun activities at the club’s training ground, Cidade do Galo.
Atlético signed the 18-year-old Nigerian winger as part of a strategy to scout for talent in Africa.
The player, who developed at Sporting Lagos and was loaned to Ikorodu City, was observed in person by Atlético’s football department, which also watched several of his games.
