Chairman of the NFF fact-finding committee, Fanny Amun, has disclosed that president of the federation Ibrahim Gusau refused to come before the panel to address some concerns raised during their sitting.
Amun told Sports Salsa radio programme that Gusau turned down an invitation to appear before the committee.
“He refused to come,” he said in reference to work of his committee.
Amun said his committee uncovered concerns over non-payment of allowances and bonuses to coaches and players, while administrative officials were paid full extacodes.
The committee also heard allegations about the appointment of national team coaches based on financial considerations.
Gusau inaugurated the fact-finding committee to look into the causes behind the poor run of results recorded by the national teams with particular reference to the Super Falcons.
Earlier this month, 10-time African champions Super Falcons failed for the first time in history to qualify for the Women’s World Cup.
