The Super Eagles striker came off the bench in the 81st minute and a minute later he showed his undoubted class with a brilliant individual goal.
He cut through the defense of the Premier League club from the top of the box before he threaded home the match winner.
Sofascore rated his performance 7.6 points despite his limited time on the pitch.
Victor Boniface future at Leverkusen is uncertain. Various media reports suggest he is most likely to play a bit role at the German club in the new season or go out on another loan.
He played on loan at Werder Bremen last season before it was cut short by a major knee injury that required surgery.
