Fresh from a loan spell in the German Bundesliga with Hamburg, Super Eagles winger Philip Otele could soon be on the move again with Italian Serie A club lecce a likely destination.
Otele, 27, is close to moving to Lecce from Swiss side FC Basel, with direct talks expected this week to complete the transfer.
The player, who has five caps for Nigeria, is under contract with the Swiss club until June 2028.
His current market value is €4.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
Hamburg SV were also recently linked with Otele, but reportedly did not exercise a purchase option valued between €4.5 million and €5 million following his loan there.
A report from May 2026 stated that Basel seek to sell him for at least the €3 million they originally paid in July 2025.
