Samuel Chukwueze has enhanced his chances of staying put at AC Milan with an impressive showing against Scottish champions Celtic in a pre-season clash.
Chukwueze came off the bench in the second half to deliver an assist as well as create several chances on the right wing.
Milan new coach Ruben Amorim has said he hopes to keep the Super Eagles winger back from a loan spell at Premier League side Fulham.
Top Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano said Chukwueze’s performance versus Celtic was a massive step to him securing his future at the top Italian club.
“Some things became clear in the Celtic friendly. The first is how Amorim wanted to show his faith in Chukwueze, and his performance was very good. In short, when a manager believes in a player, it shows, and Chukwueze has understood that this is an opportunity,” he stated on his YouTube channel.
“He will try to rekindle his experience with the Rossoneri. At the moment, Milan are continuing to give Chukwueze time, despite his agents having received calls in recent weeks. They want to let him work with Amorim, so this is the stance today.”
