Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk has personally asked for George Ilenikhena, who has been monitored by Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle.
According to Takvim, the Turkish champions have started initiatives for the transfer of the 19-year-old Nigerian centre-forward from Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad following the request of the coach.
The former Antwerp and AS Monaco striker has failed to settle in Saudi Arabia and needs a transfer to get his promising career back on track.
Ilenikhena joined Al Ittihad in February 2026, and his contract runs until June 2029. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €12.00m.
