The Super Eagles are also feeling the wear and tear of the 2025 AFCON in Morocco with debutant Ryan Alebiosu now feared to miss the rest of the tournament through injury.
Blackburn Rovers right fullback suffered a deep cut on his favoured right leg on his Super Eagles debut against Uganda Tuesday in Fes.
Officials said the injury may well have ended his run at the AFCON.
Striker Cyriel Dessers is also nursing a thigh injury and so was unavailable for the Uganda match, which afforded coach Eric Chelle the chance to see other squad players in action.
