Victor Osimhen has told his Turkish club Galatasaray he will play in the Intercontinental Derby against Fenerbache even though that will be a week earlier than when he is expected to be fully fit.
The 26-year-old striker told the Galatasaray technical and medical staff he is fired up to play against bitter rivals Fenerbache.
Osimhen injured his hamstring on Super Eagles duty against DR Congo and an MRI scan revealed that he will be out for about four weeks.
The derby against Fenerbache will be on December 1.
Most had expected Osimhen will be ready for action in a UEFA Champions League tie against AS Monaco on December 9.
