SCORENigeria has uncovered the biggest frustration behind the recent unbecoming conduct of Super Eagles No 1 goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali.
Nwabali, who recently lost both parents, is frustrated by his transfer situation at South African club Chippa United.
A Super Eagles inside source told only SCORENigeria: “Nwabali wants to leave Chippa United. He believes he deserves to be playing for a bigger club by now going by his performances for both club and country.
“He wants to leave, but the club are holding him back by demanding crazy money for him when they paid virtually nothing to sign him.”
At the ripe old age of 29, a transfer to Europe for Nwabali may be a little far-fetched now and he may have to settle for one of the top South African clubs and if possible, switch to Asia.
In a recent radio interview, Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle, defended his No 1 goalkeeper, saying he does not need “a nice guy” in his goal, while also admitting that Nwabali needs to calm down a bit.
