Should the recommendations of the NFF technical committee be accepted by the NFF leadership, Golden Eaglets coach Manu Garba and his Flying Eagles counterpart, Aliyu Zubairu, will be fired and their respective backroom staff overhauled.
This followed failed campaigns by the national teams.
This month, the Golden Eaglets for the second straight time failed to qualify for the U17 AFCON with Manu Garba in charge, while Flying Eagles led by Aliyu Zubairu could only reach the Round of 16 of the 2025 U20 World Cup in Chile.
The dismissal of the coaches will mean their positions are now vacant and suitably qualified candidates could apply.
The coaches of the CHAN Eagles will also be relieved of their positions.
Daniel Ogunmodede of Remo Stars and Fidelis Ilechukwu from Enugu Rangers were in charge of the home-based Eagles, who failed to go past the group stage of the delayed 2024 CHAN in East Africa.
A top source informed SCORENigeria: “Both the Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles disappointed and they failed to achieve set targets.
“We therefore expect their coaches to be cleared out.
“Also, their backroom staff will not be spared because we received verifiable complaints about the unprofessional conduct of members of the backroom staff.
“We have to start again on a clean slate.”
