The durable defensive stalwart took his game to the familiar surroundings of Turkey, where he has featured on various loan spells, after he quit Spain for a permanent transfer to Istanbul side Kasimpasa.

The 2023/2024 season was a decent one for one of Super Eagles senior stars as he captained Kasimpasa to top reckoning in Turkey.
Despite seeing only a meagre 122 minutes out of a possible 450 at the AFCON earlier this year, Omeruo proved his leadership qualities when called upon to steady the Eagles defence and give a dose of confidence during Africa’s biggest showpiece, including a semi-final perfect penalty to ensure passage to the championship game.
At Kasimpasa, Omeruo saw out a total of 2,212 minutes across 24 Süper Lig and two Turkiye Kupasi games, with five clean sheets.
In the defensively unstable Kasimpasa side, Omeruo managed a clean sheet percentage of 21.65 with 1.65 goals conceded per 90 minutes and a poor ranking of 160th out of 192 defenders, with 6.97/10 as his average rating.
He recorded 1,064 passes with 46.10 per 90, won 95 and 57 ground and aerial duels respectively, completed 40 interceptions and 32 tackles, made 99 clearances, blocked 20 shots and was only dribbled past nine times throughout the season.
Despite being a defender, Kenneth was exemplary discipline-wise, accumulating only seven bookings with a whopping 297 minutes per booking
Even with his position, Omeruo had an XG (Expected goals) of 1.49 with 2 goal involvements across the season.
It was a fairly rated performance from Omeruo this season as his club finished a commendable fifth in the Turkish top flight.
