The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have named Super Eagles coach Augustine Eguavoen as the Best Coach of the group stage of the AFCON in Cameroon.
The 56-year-old Eguavoen led the Eagles to three straight wins in Group D, which also had Egypt, Sudan and Guinea Bissau.
The former international defender, who lifted the 1994 AFCON trophy in Tunisia, thus matched the record he also achieved as coach at the 2006 AFCON in Egypt.

His achievement in Cameroon is the even more remarkable as he only took charge of the Eagles barely weeks to the AFCON.
Cameroon striker Vincent Aboubakar was picked as Player of the first round after he netted five goals for the host nation, while Egypt’s Mohamed Elshenawy was goalkeeper of the group stage.
IIaix Moriba of Guinea was selected Young Player of the first round.
